In the State of Oregon there are three surety bonds that are required of education providers for contractors, commercial drivers and higher learning degrees.
Contractor School
$10,000 Pre-Licensure Training Provider Bond for schools preparing contractors for licensure - required by the Construction Contractors Board.
Authorized School
Oregon School Authorized to Confer Degree Bond required by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission for select schools in order to offer degrees.
Trucker Driving School
$2,500 Commercial Driving School Bond for schools providing education services to truckers required by the Oregon DOT.
