Before construction or repair can begin on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, alleys, and gutters, a contractor needs to file a $10,000 Concrete Bond with the City of University Park, Texas. The bond prevents the City and the people of University Park from losing money because the concrete contractor can’t or won’t complete the job.
Jet offers the University Park Concrete Bond for just $100, no prerequisites needed. Just click the button above to purchase your bond and get on with your business.
Bond Term | Cost |
---|---|
1 Year | $100 |
When your payment is completed, Jet sends a confirmation email that contains a receipt and an electronic copy of your Concrete Bond. You can email this copy directly to the City at [email protected]. If you need to submit the physical copy, make sure you select to have the bond mailed to you when you are making payment for the bond The bond may be mailed to this address:
City of University Park
3800 University Blvd
University Park, TX 75205
The bond expires on January 1st, but the concrete contractor is still responsible for maintenance for one year after work has been completed. This means that any cracks that appear in the concrete within the maintenance period must be fixed. The City will give 10 days’ notice when there are any issues with the site for the contractor to make necessary repairs before further action is taken.
If the contractor fails to complete a job or maintain the site according to the University Park Building Regulations, the injured party, whether that is any person who hired the contractor or the City itself, can lay claim on the Concrete Bond to receive financial compensation.
Of course, an investigation into the complaint occurs and any efforts to fix the issue should be made to prevent a bond claim. But, if the claim is found to be valid, Jet will be obligated to make a payout to account for the contractor’s actions—this doesn’t excuse the contractor from owning up to their actions. Any claim payouts must be repaid to restore the Concrete Bond to its full $10,000 limit or the contractor will not be awarded permits by the City and will not be able to continue working.
Another surety bond that may be required by the City of University Park is the $5,000 House Moving Bond. If you need this bond, give Jet a call at (855) 296-2663.
