Contractors registered with the City of Merkel, Texas must obtain a $25,000 Contractor Registration Bond. Electrical, Irrigation, Mechanical, and Plumbing Contractors need a $5,000 bond and, lastly, a Swimming Pool Contractor needs a $10,000 bond.
