The Contractor License Bond is required by the Building Department to financially ensure that the contractor will follow all license regulations pursuant to Chapter 5, Section 5-50 of the Fredericksburg, Texas Municode, as well as fulfill all contractual obligations with customers. If a general contractor is hired for a building or home improvement project and fails to complete the job up to standards written in their contract, the damaged party may file a claim on the bond to cover any losses they have incurred.
