Contractor Bonds are used by the City of Fort Worth as a guarantee that certain construction work will be completed and maintained in good condition. Basically a safeguard in the event of contractor’s negligence, poor performance or leaving the job unfinished. A Street and Storm Drain Contractor Bond must be held in a $25,000 limit, whereas the Parkway Contractor Bond can be $10,000 for residential requirements or $25,000 for commercial and utility requirements.

Our team will get your Parkway Contractor Bond or Street/Storm Drain Bond ready and can even send it in for you. If you need to submit the bond along with other paperwork, you will need to either email it to [email protected] or drop it off in person at:
City of Fort Worth 200 Texas St Fort Worth, TX 76102
The Parkway Contractor Bond expires one year from the date of issuance and the Street/Storm Drain Contractor Bond is held active indefinitely until cancelled by the City. Both bonds can be cancelled by Jet (for issues such as nonpayment of premium) by giving a 5-days’ written notice.
As a contractor, you are obligated to perform according to the Fort Worth Ordinances for the duration of the bond and maintain the work for an additional two years following the completion of the project. What that means is any defective materials that you used in a project will be replaced or any poor workmanship will be repaired as needed within that period — you are responsible for putting out quality work or, you will receive a bond claim to fix any damages. Since you’ll still be on the hook for paying Jet back for claim payouts, it is best to do the work the right way in the first place.
There may be other surety bonds that the City of Fort Worth requires along with licensing. If you need one of the bonds listed below that are mentioned in the Code of Ordinances, give Jet a call at (855) 296-2663.
