City of Childress
Code Enforcement Office
PO Box 1097
Childress, TX 79201
The purpose of the Contractor License Bond is to financially protect residents of Childress City, as well as infractions against the local Code Enforcement Office from contractor license violations. For example, if you are a contractor that has been hired to renovate a building and fail to complete the job up to regulation and contractual standards, the harmed customer may pursue civil action against you. In cases where a Childress City judge rules in favor of the claimant and the contractor is unable to make restitution, your Contractor License Bond may be used to cover all financial losses incurred by the damaged party.
Your license with the Code Enforcement Office is active for one year and will require renewal if you plan on continuing your career as a contractor in the City of Childress. To renew and maintain your license, an active Contractor License Bond must be on file with the Office. This means you will need to renew your bond at some point as well.
However, if you are a part of Jet’s monthly payment plan, you won’t have to worry about renewing your bond. The Contractor License Bond will remain in effect as long as payments are continuously made or until cancellation is sought.
As for bondholders who purchase the Contractor License Bond in full and upfront, the Jet team will send you a renewal invoice prior to your official bond term expiration date via mail and email. Simply pay the standard payment due and your bond will remain active for an additional term.
