Contractor License Bond

Contractors submitting a Contractor Registration Application or Mechanical Registration Application must include a $25,000 Contractor Bond as part of their registration. The bond is used to guarantee that the contractor will complete their contract and be financially responsible for any damages caused.

An active bond must be held for the entire registration period, renewing as needed to coincide with your license. Jet will send you a renewal notice that you can fill out quickly either online or via mail to keep your bond going. 

Sewer Tapper Bond

A $5,000 Sewer Tapper Bond must be filed by those working on sewer systems. The contractor is obligated to follow the guidelines given in the contract or permit. Failure to complete the job as prescribed or causing damages through negligent or second-rate work will result in a bond claim to bring the excavation/restoration into compliance. 

Right of Way Bond

When utility companies are doing work in the public right-of-way , they are required to file a Right-of-Way Bond along with the permit. The bond must be at least $5,000, in an amount adequate enough to make sure that the site will be restored after the excavation is completed.
