Russia, Ohio Plumber/Sewer Builder and Contractor Bonds

Contractors working in the Village of Russia, Ohio must have a Contractor License/Permit Bond on file as protection against damages to the Village or its people. These bonds are typically held in an amount that would be sufficient to compensate for such damages; plumbers must hold a Plumber and Sewer Builder Bond in a $3,000 limit.

Contractor License/Permit Bond

These bonds are used as a precautionary measure against general contractors breaking contracts or violating the obligations of their license or permit. Contractors are held to the standards given by the Village of Russia and applicable sections of the Ohio Revised Code or Ohio Administrative Code. Any failure to comply can result in damages that can result in a bond claim. You will ultimately be held responsible for the claim and must repay Jet.

Your bond must remain active during your licensure or the fulfillment of the contract. If you need to renew your bond, Jet will send you a notice that only takes a minute to fill out. Jet will take care of the rest.

Plumber and Sewer Builder Bond

Plumbers and sewer builders are bound to fulfill their contracts, making sure that their work in Russia streets, sidewalks, or pavements is completely restored to the original condition. They are also obligated to pay all fines and comply with rules and regulations for plumbing work. Any violation of these obligations can cause the Village a financial burden that can be reimbursed through the bond. You must repay Jet for the payout since your actions caused the claim.

The bond will stay on file during the course of your work in the plumbing or sanitary sewer systems and for six months after. You are responsible for any repairs or replacements needed in that time; failure to keep the worksite in compliance with the Village standards can also result in a bond claim.
