The Contractor Bond is required to ensure that the contractor will be held accountable for their actions, but also to act as an extra layer of protection for the Building Department and residents of Pickaway County. If the contractor commits a license violation such as causing damages to a person’s property and refusing to resolve the issue, the surety bond may be used as restitution for losses incurred by the harmed party.
