The Contractor Bond is required by the Sanitary Engineering Department to ensure that the contractor will fulfill their license obligations, as well as perform all water service and sanitary sewer connection installations and repairs up to regulation. If a license violation is committed while installing or repairing a water/sewer connection and the contractor refuses to resolve the issue, the surety bond will act as a financial guarantee for the Department to cover the costs of fixing the damage.
