The original signed and sealed Contractor Bond, along with your completed initial or renewal licensing paperwork, must be submitted to the Champaign County Health District at the following mailing address:

The Contractor Bond is required of plumbing contractors, septic installer contractors, and septage haulers to ensure that the individual will comply with their license regulations, as well as uphold the Champaign County Health District’s applicable plumbing and sewer construction standards. If the licensee commits a violation or breach of contract, the surety bond will act as a financial guarantee to any person who is financially damaged by the transgression. 

It is important to note that any person that alleges the licensee committed a violation must notify the Health District of the alleged transgression within two years from the date the work was completed. 

As for renewing your bond, the Jet team will send you a renewal notice and invoice far in advance of your expiration date. Just fulfill the standard payment due and your surety bond will remain active with Champaign County for another term.
