The City of Blue Ash, Ohio requires contractors who perform excavation projects in public right-of-way areas to obtain a permit and to file an Excavation Bond with the Public Works Department. Depending on the details of the permitted job, a Soil Erosion Bond may also be required by the city.
The Excavation Bond costs $100 for one year, no credit check required! Check all pricing options in the chart below.

According to the Public Works Department, the Excavation Bond has various bond limits that depend on the location of the public right-of-way project. See below for which bond limit you qualify for:
The Soil Erosion Bond has a custom bond amount that is determined by the Community Development Department.
Once you have obtained your required permit (applications can be found on the Permits webpage) with the City of Blue Ash, your signed bond must be filed with the appropriate Department (Public Works or Community Development) at the mailing address listed below:

Blue Ash, OH 45242
Both the Public Works and the Community Development Department require either the Excavation Bond or the Soil Erosion Bond to ensure that the contractor will perform all public right-of-way excavation and soil erosion projects up to the permit obligations. If the city finds that any violations have been caused by the contractor, the surety bonds will act as a financial guarantee to the damaged party.
