In Florida, transient businesses may find themselves required to obtain a surety bond in order to offer their merchandise and/or services. Some city, county, state, or other various organizations will require the bond to provide financial protection to the public from being cheated by a traveling peddler or to guarantee themselves the taxes and fees they impose.
With Jet Insurance Company, merchants, vendors, and peddlers can obtain this surety bond in minutes online.
The following municipalities have a listed bond requirement. Some requirements are generic and not listed, but they still can be purchased by clicking the button above.
Brevard County - $1,000 Itinerant Vendor Bond
Lee County - $5,000 Transient Merchant Bond
Coral Springs - $1,000 Itinerant Vendor Bond
For nearly all applicants the bond is guaranteed at $100 for an annual term. Only if the bond limit required is over $10,000 could the price be more than $100.
Bond Term | Cost |
---|---|
Monthly | $10 |
1 Year | $100 |
2 Years | $175 |
3 Years | $250 |
If the bond is needed for a term shorter or longer than a year, Jet has the best options available, offering a monthly rate or a discounted two- or three-year bond term.
Surety bonds are all we do at Jet. No other organization can execute a bond as quickly and accurately as Jet. Once payment is made online you will receive the bond form. The bond form needs to be filed with the entity that required the bond. Jet can mail the form or our customers can submit the form themselves. Either way, you can select the best option during purchase.
Jet will send a bond renewal reminder prior to the bond’s expiration date. Should you need to extend the bond coverage, simply make payment. Our reminder will have a link to purchase the bond online or you can call (855) 296-2663.
For those making monthly payments, there is no need to renew the bond. So long as the payments continue on the card provided, the bond will remain active.
Should you need to cancel the bond just send an email requesting to do so to [email protected]. Any refund will be calculated on a prorated basis as mailed back to your address—wherever that may be.
