Prior to construction or maintenance work within a public right-of-way, contractors must apply for a permit and file a Right-of-Way Bond with the Lake Worth Beach Building Division.
The Right-of-Way Bond limit is determined by the City’s Public Services Director, based on the type of facilities being installed (i.e. signs or various utility services), the size of the project, the restoration work to be performed once construction has been executed, and the past performance of the contractor within Lake Worth Beach.
At Jet, prices for the Right-of-Way Bond are a small fraction of the bond limit and are typically based on a soft credit check of the contractor. However, exceptions are made for bond amounts under $25k—no credit check is required and the bond can be issued within minutes. For example, contractors may purchase up to a $10,000 bond limit for the guaranteed price of $100 for a one-year bond term. Simply select the “View Your Bond Price” button above to get started!

Once your purchase has started, you can either have the Jet team file the bond form for you or take care of this step yourself.
The original signed and sealed Right-of-Way Bond form, along with the completed Permit Application, must be submitted to the Lake Worth Beach Community Sustainability Department, Building Division at the following mailing address:
City of Lake Worth Beach
Community Sustainability Department
Building Division
1900 2nd Avenue
Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461
The contractor is responsible for upholding the terms and conditions of the permit, as well as all regulations pursuant to Chapter 19 of the Lake Worth Beach, FL Municode.
As long as the contractor complies with the above obligations, performs the permit project in a timely manner, executes good workmanship, repairs any damages caused during construction, and restores the right-of-way area to its original or a better condition once the project has been completed, then the terms of the Right-of-Way Bond have been fulfilled. The bond may then be released of further liability within 90 days of the final inspection by the City.
However, if any of these requirements are violated, the Division may file a claim on the Right-of-Way Bond. In most cases, funds from the bond will be used to hire a new contractor and/or to cover any financial losses incurred by Lake Worth Beach.
Lake Worth Beach may require a Right-of-Way Communications Facility Bond prior to the construction of a communications facility within a public right-of-way area. If this is the case for your construction business, give Jet a call at 855-296-2663 and our team will help you out right away.
