A State-certified contractor who is looking to work within Lake County, Florida will need to register with the County. One of the County’s license requirements is a $5,000 Contractor’s Bond. The bond serves as financial protection for the consumer against poor workmanship or defective materials.
Any failure to perform according to the contract can lead to recovery from the bond. The consumer has up to one year after work was completed to make a claim on the bond that was active when the damage occurred.
Lake County also requires those removing mobile homes to file a $5,000 Non-Conforming Zoning Use Bond.
With Jet’s exclusive monthly payment option, you can just pay $10 per month for your Lake County Contractor Bond—or you can put $100 down and be covered for a whole year.
These rates are guaranteed for the Contractor Bond, but for the Non-Conforming Zoning Use Bond, rates are credit-based and start at $100 a year (monthly rates are not available).
