The contractor, subcontractor, and business employees are expected to follow all license/permit requirements and applicable regulations pursuant to Article I of the Hillsborough County, FL Municode, as well as fulfill contractual obligations such as warranty agreements.
If the licensee behaves negligently, commits poor workmanship, or causes damages, they will be responsible for taking steps to resolve such problems within 48 hours of receiving notice to do so by Hillsborough County Development Services (this condition only applies for one year following the execution of a construction project). In cases where the contractor is unable or unwilling to comply, the damaged party has the legal right to pursue civil action which may lead to a bond claim. If the claim is awarded by a judge, funds from the Contractor Code Compliance Bond will cover such financial losses incurred by the damaged claimant.
