Contractors working in the Fort Lauderdale public rights-of-way will need to get a Rights-of-Way Performance Bond. Any failure to complete the construction, repair, or restoration of streets or subdivisions will allow the City to demand payment to complete the project from the bond.
Additionally, Fort Lauderdale may require a contractor to obtain a surety bond for other various permits. These bonds are required to protect the City and its constituents from a contractor's inability to follow permit requirements or uphold their warranty obligations.
The cost of a Fort Lauderdale Right of Way or Contractor Bond will be just a small fraction of the required bond limit, which is determined by taking into account current job specifications and previous performance. Jet will provide you with a quote for your bond based on a credit check (and if your bond limit is more than $50,000, financial statements will also be required).
