Match promoters in Florida need to file a $15,000 Promoter Bond with the Florida State Boxing Commission as part of their licensing. The Promoter Bond is used to protect against nonpayment of fees and taxes to the Commission and breaches of contract to others.
With Jet, getting your Promoter Bond is as quick as a one-two punch: complete an application in minutes and purchase your automatically-approved quote right away!
A Promoter Bond can cost as low as $15 a month or $150 a year. Keep in mind, this is Jet’s starting rate and actual costs may vary. Bond quotes are subject to credit approval.
Bond Term | Cost |
---|---|
Monthly | $15 |
1 Year | $150 |
Jet makes it easy to knock out your Promoter Bond requirement—pay for the bond on a month-to-month payment plan or for a full year right away.
Jet’s streamlined application can be completed in just a few minutes. Our application only asks for general business information and a social security number—the social security number is necessary to conduct a soft credit check, which will not impact your credit score. Once you’re done with the application, you will see what rate you are approved for and can purchase the bond right away. Jet will send an email with a digital copy of the bond form and mail you the physical copy. A signed original, physical copy of the Promoter Bond is required (the witness must sign as well) before submitting it to the following address:
Florida State Boxing Commission
2601 Blair Stone Rd
Tallahassee, FL 32399
If you need to cancel your Promoter Bond, send Jet an email at [email protected]. We will request cancellation with the Commission, but keep in mind that failing to have an active bond will result in license suspension or revocation. The Commission will only cancel the bond if the following conditions are met:
Yes; the Commission will require a promoter to file an additional bond if an upcoming match is expected to hold more than $15,000 in liability. The additional bond (cash or a certified check is also accepted) will be held by the Commission for up to 90 days after the match. The Commission can extend the hold on the bond if there is suspicion of a violation or an actual violation during the match.
The Miccosukee Athletic Commission requires promoters that organize fights on the Miccosukee Reservation to hold a Miccosukee Promoter Bond. The promoter is still bound to the same obligations found in Chapter 548 of the Florida Statutes, but the bond will protect the Miccosukee Athletic Commission from nonpayment of due taxes and fees or against damages caused by other violations of the Statutes.
The Miccosukee Promoter Bond must be filed at the address below:
