In the City of Anna Maria, Florida, land developers must file a Right of Way Bond with the local Public Works Department before construction operations within a public road, right of way, or easement may occur. Once an official permit has been issued by the Department, the hired contractors may execute the approved project.
Developers may purchase the $25,000 Right of Way Bond for the guaranteed price of $250 for a one-year bond term. Jet offers this surety bond as an instant issue, so all you need to do is select the “Secure Your Bond” button above to get started with your purchase.

Once purchased, you will receive an electronic copy of the bond and receipt immediately and the original will be sent to you in the mail for your signature. The original signed and sealed Right of Way Bond form must be sent to the City of Anna Maria Public Works Department at the following mailing address:

The developer is expected to ensure that all permit obligations and regulations pursuant to Chapter 50 of the Anna Maria, FLMunicode are upheld. As a land developer, you are of course responsible for your own actions, but also the actions of your hired contractors and subcontractors. So if damages are caused to city property (e.g. roads, sidewalks, alleyways, or drainage structures), repairs must be made within 30 days of notification from the Director of the Public Works Department. Failure to do so may lead to a disciplinary hearing and/or a bond claim.
Following the conclusion of the construction project, the permittee is also in charge of all restoration, repairs, and maintenance work that may be required of the right-of-way area for a two-year period. If the developer fails to comply with any of these permit terms and conditions, a claim will be filed upon the Right of Way Bond to cover financial losses incurred by the city. In most cases, bond funds will be used to hire new contractors to complete the construction work within the standards of the permit.
Solid waste facilities that provide residential and/or commercial collection services within the City of Anna Maria may be required by the Commissioner to obtain a Solid Waste Collector Bond.
